AAN 2022 | Remaining hurdles in managing MS during pregnancy and postpartum

Kristen Krysko, MD, University of California San Francisco, San Francisco, CA, discusses unanswered questions regarding decision-making during pregnancy and the high-risk early postpartum period in women with multiple sclerosis (MS). Additional long-term data is required to accurately assess the long-term effects of mothers taking MS medication in children during pregnancy and postpartum. Dr Krysko also talks on possible transfer of medication to children via breastfeeding. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
