Raffaele Ornello, MD, University of L’Aquila, Avezzano, Italy, gives an update on the most important aspects of managing migraine in older adults. Elderly patients with migraine are a small population, and it is difficult to include them in clinical trials. Therefore, there is not much evidence of the use of available migraine therapies in elderly patients. Additionally, migraine treatment considerations for older adults should include comorbidities and medication interactions. Although this population is small, they represent a real challenge in the migraine space. This interview took place at the 16th European Headache Congress (EHC) in Vienna, Austria.
