AAN 2021 | Measuring the improvement of multiple sclerosis patients over time

Maria Pia Sormani, PhD, University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, explains a project that aims to measure the improvement of multiple sclerosis patients over time. An estimator based on incidence and duration of improvement was established. This measurement can be used to analyze the effects of drugs with new mechanisms of action and give more precise information on the maintenance of improvement by patients. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
