MDS 2021 | The current treatment landscape for PD

Caroline Tanner, MD, PhD, FAAN, Weill Institute for Neurosciences, University of California, San Francisco, CA, talks on the currently available treatment strategies for motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, including dopaminergic agents, such as levodopa or dopamine receptor agonists, and adjunctive therapies. Dr Tanner also discusses other approaches such as surgery and device related treatments which may be required in more advanced forms of the disease. This interview took place during the 2021 International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders.
