Aleksander Videnovic, MD, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, discusses a relatively novel research direction in movement disorders, exploring the connections between circadian homeostasis and pathological processes. Dr Videnovic believes that regulation of the circadian system could be vital in resolving symptoms such as sleep dysregulation, cognitive dysfunction, and even motor function impairment associated with Parkinson’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. This interview took place during the World Sleep Congress 2022 in Rome, Italy.
