IEC 2021 | Subcutaneous EEG in ultra-long-term seizure monitoring

Troels W. Kjær, MD, PhD, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark, discusses the importance of epilepsy monitoring in the patient’s home rather than the artificial environment to better understand the seizure frequency and characterization. Prof. Kjær also talks on the use of ultralong term EEG monitoring in recording brain activity associated with seizures and helping patients get the correct diagnosis and treatment. This interview took place during the 34th International Epilepsy Congress, 2021.
