AAN 2022 | Patient selection and outcome prediction methods in epilepsy

Brett Youngerman, MD, MS, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, NY, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) as a diagnostic and predictive tool in epilepsy treatment. Despite the progression from subdural grids to SEEG, there is still a push to move towards non-invasive diagnostic techniques in epilepsy therapy. Dr Youngman explores new diagnostic possibilities with the advances in medical imaging and addresses the benefit of continuous data sharing in the medical community. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
