AAN 2021 | Impact of painful diabetic neuropathy on quality of life

Erika Petersen, MD, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR, talks on the burden of painful diabetic neuropathy on the subset of patients with diabetes that suffer from this complication. The dysesthesia experienced is often unresponsive to treatment and substantially affects patient’s quality of life. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
