CONy 2022 | Determining the favorable clinical course in MS

Nicola De Stefano, MD, PhD, University of Siena, Siena, Italy, provides a brief overview on whether focal and diffuse brain damage can lead to an optimal clinical course in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). Whilst MS is typically characterized as a focal disease with the accumulation of lesions, measurement of diffuse damage in white and grey matter in the brain has demonstrated the need for standardized magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) measurement strategies for patients. This interview was conducted during the 2022 World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) meeting.
