World Sleep 2022 | Sleep disorders as a predictor of neurodegenerative disorders

Claudia Trenkwalder, MD, University Medical Center of Göttingen, Göttingen, Germany, highlights the importance of analyzing sleep and movement disorders, such as insomnia and REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), in patients early on. Prof. Trenkwalder briefly explains that it is very important to monitor any sleeping problems a patient may have, as many neurodegenerative disorders often start with sleep disorders that gradually develop into disease. This interview took place during the World Sleep Congress 2022 in Rome, Italy.
