WSC 2022 | Stroke burden in Asia and the work of the Asia Pacific Stroke Organization

Stroke is the number one cause of disability in South-East Asia, with the region facing challenges in awareness, education, and care access. Nijasri Suwanwela, MD, Chulalongkorn Comprehensive Stroke Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand, explains some of the work of the Asia Pacific Stroke Organization in educating the public on stroke prevention, encouraging neurologists to pursue stroke research and holding events such as webinars and the annual Asia Pacific Stroke Conference (APSC). This interview took place at the World Stroke Congress 2022 in Singapore.
