IHC 2021 | The future of migraine research: impact of phenome-wide analysis

Luis Marco García-Marín, Biotechnology Engineer, PhD student in Statistical Genetics, QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute & The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, talks on the future impact of the findings of the migraine study looking at the relationship between migraine and other complex traits. Mr García-Marín suggests the study provides testable hypotheses for future studies to confirm and assess whether the potential causal associations identified were specific to a type of migraine. Ultimately, Mr García-Marín proposes this could provide opportunities in the design of emerging treatments and drug targets. This interview took place during the International Headache Congress 2021.
