Silvia Fossati, PhD, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, discusses recent trends in the study of tau protein and its impact on Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathology. The effect of tau protein on the neurovascular unit and its role in cerebrovascular pathology is receiving increasing attention, as is the intercellular movement of tau. It is hoped that these growing avenues of research could lead to an improved understanding of AD pathology in the future. This interview took place during the AD/PD™ 2021 conference.
