AHS 2022 | Recent developments in pediatric headache

Serena Orr, MD, MS, FAHS, The University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, discusses how the state of research in pediatric headache has developed in recent years. In the past 10 years, there has been a vast increase in the number of pediatric-focused presentations at AHS. With more research projects aimed at improving patient care, this is a positive trajectory for the field. From research investigating developmental differences in headache disorders at a younger age to increased engagement in clinical trials – much progress has been made. However, with the many challenges associated with these prosperous studies, work is still needed. This interview took place during the 2022 American Headache Society (AHS) Annual Scientific Meeting in Denver, CO.
