EEC 2022 | Machine learning and EEG to predict the outcomes of anti-epileptic treatment

Lorenzo Ricci, MD, PhD Candidate, Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Rome, Italy, talks on the use of electroencephalography (EEG) and machine learning as a way to measure the effects of anti-epileptic treatment. Dr Ricci comments on how machine learning could potentially be used to differentiate patients with temporal lobe epilepsy who would become seizure-free compared to those who will not, following treatment with anti-epileptic treatments such as levetiracetam. This interview took place at the 14th European Epilepsy Congress (EEC) 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland.
