EAN 2021 | Prevention of maternal antibody-mediated diseases

Angela Vincent, MBBS (Hon PhD Bergen), FRCPath, FMedSci, FRS, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK, discusses the broad implications of using therapeutic monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) to prevent the trans-placental transfer of pathogenic antibodies in the prevention of maternal antibody-mediated diseases. New techniques and therapies are providing the opportunity for better research into these mechanisms. This interview took place during the European Academy of Neurology 2021 congress.
