AAN 2021 | Controversies on daylight saving transitions

Logan Schneider, MD, Stanford University School of Medicine, Stanford, CA, talks on the structure of the virtual American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting, particularly the sessions covering sleep and sleep disorders and their relevance and objectives. Additionally, Dr Schneider highlights the talk on daylight saving time presented at the contemporary clinical issues plenary session. Dr Schneider comments on this and shares that a growing body of evidence suggests that daylight saving time transitions create social jetlag imposing unnecessary health risks to individuals, which are not desirable. This interview took place during the AAN 2021 Annual Meeting.
