Giancarlo Logroscino, MD, PhD, Università degli Studi di Bari, Bari, Italy, discusses his experience managing patients in southern Italy during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the closure of the clinics, consultations have turned to telemedicine. However, patients’ access to laptops and smartphones comes as another challenge. In the future, patients are enthusiastic about the incorporation of telemedicine, however, they should not be substituted for in-person consultations.
