MDS 2022 | How can patients with movement disorders receive adequate care and guidance?

Susanne Schneider, MD, PhD, University Hospital Munich, Munich, Germany, talks on providing equitable access to treatment for patients with movement disorders worldwide. Many countries may not have a sufficient number of movement disorder specialists and a concerted effort is required to train enough healthcare professionals to maintain appropriate levels of care. Dr Schneider additionally highlights the need to provide up to date diagnostic techniques, which can be provided with telemedicine. This interview took place at the 2022 International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in Madrid, Spain.
