Hans Lassmann, MD, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria, shares his insights on the contribution of neuropathology to the understanding of multiple sclerosis (MS). In MS research, neuropathology has been essential in differentiating the disease from other inflammatory autoimmune or demyelinating diseases. In combination with modern technologies, such as gene or protein expression studies, neuropathology continues to deliver highly relevant information for MS research. This interview took place at the 2022 Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) in Vienna, Austria.
