IHC 2021 | COVID-19 headache: future studies

Headache associated with COVID-19 is a frequent symptom. Edoardo Caronna, MD, Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, Barcelona, Spain, outlines future studies looking into the role of inflammatory molecules in the pathophysiology of COVID-19 headache. Although there are ongoing studies investigating the immunological mechanisms of COVID-19, those studies are not specifically exploring headache associated with COVID-19, an area where further research is needed. This interview took place during the International Headache Congress 2021.
