AAN 2021 | Analysis of cortical volume to predict seizure outcome after surgery

Lara Jehi, MD, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, explains her work on analyzing patients’ brains to predict seizure after surgery. Dr Jehi studied patients’ brains through MRI looking at atrophied areas and their extension in the brain to identify patients with a high risk of having seizures after surgery. The study aimed to develop a model to help physicians identify patients that would benefit most from surgery to stop seizures entirely. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
