AAN 2021 | Perspectives on therapies for disorders of consciousness

Jan Claassen, MD, PhD, Columbia University Medical Center, New York, NY, shares his perspectives on therapies for disorders of consciousness. Some options to treat these disorders include invasive procedures – for instance, the implantation of stimulators into the brain through surgery. Dr Claassen highlights the use of non-invasive approaches, such as focused ultrasound. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
