EAN 2021 | Challenges of diagnosing migraine
Raquel Gil-Gouveia, MD, PhD, Hospital da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal, discusses the difficulties of diagnosing migraines. Symptoms such as sinus pain or neck pain can be mistaken for other disorders, resulting in the wrong diagnosis. Symptoms such as these can provide great insight into the underlying causes of migraines. Dr Gil-Gouveia also mentions cognitive symptoms, which are relevant to the diagnosis and impact of migraine. This interview took place during the European Academy of Neurology 2021 congress.
