Sarah Lidstone, MD, PhD, Toronto Western Hospital and the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, talks on the latest approaches to treating functional movement disorders (FMD). While highly diverse and often complex in presentation, most cases of FMD are readily treatable through the various treatment modalities available. Dr Lidstone comments on the growing evidence base to support the use of interdisciplinary rehabilitation for complex presentation; physiotherapy, speech-language pathology, psychotherapy, and occupational therapy can be used in conjunction to optimize outcomes. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
