MDS 2020 | The advancements in treatment and management for Parkinson’s disease

Charles H. Adler, MD, PhD, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Scottsdale, AZ, discusses the advancements in neurosurgical techniques and medications to reduce alpha-synuclein aggregations. Dr Alder also discusses the advancements in Parkinson’s disease management with the use of wearable devices to assess movement outside of the clinic. In light of COVID-19, Dr Alder also describes how telecommunications have benefited patients and allowed them to access specialists from around the world.
