EAN 2022 | Novel mechanisms of anti-seizure medications

Christian Brandt, MD, Bielefeld University, Medical School, Bielefeld, Germany, comments on the upcoming developments in the field of epilepsy treatment. Preclinical and first-in-human studies show that many medications are currently in the pipeline. Novel approaches and additional mechanisms of action represent promising pathways for the development of novel medications that will hopefully expand the current armamentarium. This interview took place at the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) 2022 Congress in Vienna, Austria.
