Seth M. Keller, MD, American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD), discusses future strategies to bring awareness to the need for appropriate neurological care of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs). Individuals with IDDs are often stigmatized and devalued by society. The Section for Adults with IDDs at the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) aims to bring awareness to this population and improve neurological care through enhanced education and training programs for neurologists. Dr Keller highlights how this section’s work on adults with IDDs aligns with AAN’s mission of equity and inclusiveness in healthcare. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
