ACTRIMS 2023 | Improving comprehensive MS care through innovative and specialized approaches

Barry Singer, MD, The MS Center for Innovations in Care, St. Louis, MO, describes ways to improve comprehensive multiple sclerosis (MS) care through innovative and specialized approaches. A key aspect of MS care is patient monitoring, which can be done by implementing the use of biomarkers in clinical practice and including tests such as the timed 25-foot walk and cognitive function tests. MS centers should also be involved in innovative clinical trials. Finally, comprehensive MS care requires the expertise of many healthcare professionals that will maximize the management of the disease. This interview took place at the Americas Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ACTRIMS) Forum 2023 in San Diego, CA.
