MDS 2022 | PD-MAS validation to measure medication adherence in Parkinson’s disease

The Parkinson’s Disease Medication Adherence Scale (PD-MAS) is a patient-reported outcome instrument developed to reliably and validly capture the dimensions and factors involved in the medication adherence process. Michelle Tosin, PhD, MSN, RN, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL, describes the next steps following the development of the PD-MAS, which involve testing and validating the scale so it can be used in clinical practice and research to better understand how these behaviors have been impacting patients’ quality of life as well as clinical trails. This interview took place at the 2022 International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders in Madrid, Spain.
