WCN 2021 | WSO: improving access to quality stroke care around the world

Marc Fisher, MD, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA, talks on the role of the World Stroke Organization (WSO) in improving access to quality stroke care around the world and its responsibility in enhancing education for healthcare professionals. The WSO has various valuable initiatives, including the World Stroke Campaign, which aims to raise awareness of stroke signs and the benefits of timely access to emergency medical care. The organization is committed to supporting and strengthening the stroke care network, particularly in low- and middle-income countries. The WSO also provides high-quality stroke education to healthcare professionals with activities such as the World Stroke Academy. This interview took place during the XXV World Congress of Neurology.
