Bruce Ovbiagele, MD, MSc, FAAN, University of California, San Francisco, CA, shares strategies for diversifying the neurology workforce. Factors related to lack of diversity can be addressed at the individual, the department/institution, and organizational level. At the individual level, it is vital to be aware of biases and work to address them. Dr Ovbiagele outlines other strategies that institutions and organizations can employ to ensure lack of diversity is addressed, such as recruiting and training more underrepresented in medicine academic neurologists. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
