Debra Bangasser, PhD, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, discusses sex differences in stress exacerbation of Alzheimer’s pathology. Dr Bangasser outlines a study that showed that in female mice, a lot of the pathways related to Alzheimer’s disease were affected in a model of chronic stress through a corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) receptor-dependent mechanism.
