Dejan Jakimovski, MD, PhD, Buffalo Neuroimaging Analysis Center, Buffalo, NY, provides an overview of barriers clinicians face in utilizing novel imaging markers in the management of multiple sclerosis (MS). The role of MRI in diagnosing and monitoring MS has greatly expanded but limitations still remain in their use such as the time taken to take and process a scan. Associated biomarkers are additionally not recognized and more research is required to validate their role in the clinic. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
