Lara Jehi, MD, Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH, gives updates on the latest advances in epilepsy surgical techniques. Dr. Jehi discusses techniques used to identify the odds of success following surgery, including laser-based therapies and focused ultrasound (FUS), and how these are less invasive options than resective surgery. More invasive recording techniques to localize epilepsy before treatment is offered are also discussed. This interview took place during the 34th International Epilepsy Congress, 2021.
