MDS 2020 | Feasibility of telecommunications for movement disorders during COVID-19

Esther Cubo, MD, PhD, Hospital General Yague, Burgos, Spain, discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an increase in telecommunications and what that means for movement disorders. Dr Cubo explains that from her research published in the Movement Disorder Journal, telemedicine is feasible, cost-effective, time-efficient and safer than traditional consultations. However, it does come with challenges such as physician ability and internet connection. This interview was recorded during an online conference call with The Video Journal of Neurology (VJNeurology).
