Walter Maetzler

Walter Maetzler, MD, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein Campus Kiel, Kiel University, Kiel, Germany, discusses new potential digital devices and algorithms that can assess movement disorders. A walking parameter for Duchene muscular dystrophy has been approved by regulatory bodies and there are other parameters that could be soon available in clinical routine and trials. However, the challenges of implementing these digital assessments are the gradation of parameters and the strict rules of regulatory bodies. This interview was recorded during an online conference call with The Video Journal of Neurology (VJNeurology).
