MS Frontiers 2022 | How are MS services coping across the UK?

The Raising the Bar for MS national initiative was set out in 2019 to improve multiple sclerosis (MS) services for patients and their families across the UK. As part of this project, a national service audit was carried out to give insights into current service configuration, working practice, and medication use. Joela Mathews, MPharm, Barts Health NHS Trust, London, UK, comments on some of the key takeaways from the questionnaire data and how the team hope to act on these findings. One question asked participants to rate how they felt they were coping as a service, to which no responders reported coping well. Several strategies to improve MS services nationwide, rather than center by center, are underway. This interview took place during the MS Frontiers 2022 congress in Swansea, UK.
