AAN 2021 | Exciting trials in functional movement disorders

Alberto Espay, MD, FAAN, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, discusses major ongoing trials on the field of functional movement disorders. Prof. Espay highlights the Physio4FMD randomized controlled trial (ISRCTN56136713) of physical-based rehabilitation for functional movement disorders. Several trials assessing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) are also underway, including a study of self-guided CBT delivered via an app. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
