CONy 2023 | Digital technology to characterize and monitor MS

Digital technology is increasingly used in all aspects of medicine. László Vécsei, MD, PhD, DSc, University of Szeged, Szeged, Hungary, discusses using digital technology as a valuable tool to characterize and monitor multiple sclerosis (MS). Remote monitoring with wearable devices and smartphones is of particular potential value because of the objective, frequent, and sensitive assessment of disease outside of the clinic environment. Digital applications and remote communication technologies fill a critical gap in MS research and clinical care and have been shown to improve outcomes and facilitate access to care, disease information, and support. This interview took place at the 17th World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
