Mirla Avila, MD, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, TX, discusses racial disparities in the prevalence and prognosis of Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder (NMOSD). Dr Avila also discusses the need for more clinical trials to be done that involve non-caucasian patients and the challenges that need to be overcome to achieve this.
