AAN 2021 | Neuroimaging in stroke diagnosis

Neuroimaging techniques are of high importance in stroke diagnosis, to give insight into the underlying pathogenic mechanism as well as to guide optimal therapeutic decisions. John Leever, MD, University of Kansas Health System, Kansas City, KS, outlines the topics he will discuss during his stroke neuroimaging talk at the AAN 2021 meeting. These include pattern recognition of different types of stroke producing pathologies, atherosclerotic vascular disease features in the head and neck, and dissections. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
