AAN 2021 | Bringing mindfulness into clinical practice for migraine

An emerging body of evidence supports the benefits of mindfulness as part of a wider treatment approach for adult patients with migraine. More research is needed to further understand its value. Rebecca Wells, MD, Wake Forest Baptist Health, Winston Salem, NC, discusses key areas of ongoing research into mindfulness for migraine, including the mechanisms underlying its benefit and how it could be successfully disseminated in clinical practice. This interview took place during the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) 2021 Annual Meeting.
