ECNP 2022 | Lifestyle strategies for coping with brain fog

Sabina Brennan, PhD, Trinity College Dublin, Dublin, Ireland, suggests a number of general lifestyle strategies for coping with brain fog. Brain fog is a term that can be used to describe multiple symptoms affecting cognitive function such as memory issues and mental fatigue, and can often be the result of underlying health conditions, medications or certain lifestyle choices. Dr Brennan proposes several lifestyle changes that can help to improve the quality of life for patients suffering with brain fog. Some of these include avoiding multitasking, maintaining a regular sleep schedule, managing stress, and being more physically active. This interview took place at the 35th European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP) Congress 2022 in Vienna, Austria.
