Raul Nogueira, MD, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, talks on the issue of timing for endovascular treatment and how time to treatment can affect patient outcomes. Trials investigating the efficacy and safety of thrombectomy have incorporated strict inclusion criteria regarding time from symptom onset, which in real-life practice, many patients would not meet. However, if an individual has a favorable imaging profile, their chances of benefitting from a treatment are maintained. This interview took place at European Stroke Organisation Conference 2022 in Lyon, France.
