IHC 2021 | Pharmacogenomics: optimizing migraine treatment

Lyn Griffiths, PhD, Queensland University of Technology, Queensland, Australia, discusses pharmacogenomics in migraine. Similar to epigenomics, there are haven’t been done many studies in this field. However, Prof. Griffiths highlights the importance of pharmacogenomics in defining what genes play a role in a person’s response to a particular treatment. Therefore, in the future, it is essential to define the genetic background of people that respond well to a specific treatment and those who don’t. This interview took place during the International Headache Congress 2021.
