IHC 2021 | Further research in children and adolescent migraine

Andrew Hershey, MD, PhD, FAHS, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH, talks on further research that is needed in children and adolescent migraine to reach the goals of having acute treatment work ten times out of ten within an hour and preventive therapy to reduce headache frequency to less than once a week. Prof. Hershey discusses new agents being tested in adults, which require further research in children and adolescents as well as potential opportunities in headache prevention, looking at CGRP antibodies and the role of gepants. This interview took place during the International Headache Congress 2021.
