Troels W. Kjær, MD, PhD, University of Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark, describes the new era of implantable EEG monitoring based on devices that can be worn in everyday life – highlighting its importance in monitoring rare epileptic events and those found difficult to report. Prof. Kjær discusses the updates on companies developing these devices with the hope to be on the market in a few years.
