MDS 2020 | How treatment of Parkinson’s disease is affected by telematic consultations

Patricia Maria Carvalho Aguiar, MD, PhD, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, São Paulo, Brazil, discusses how the shift to telecommunications cause by the COVID-19 pandemic has affected patients with Parkinson’s disease. The ability of patients to receive consultations relies heavily on their country’s infrastructure and those who are seen cannot undergo physical exams. As hospitals reopen clinics, some older patients are still concerned and are not receiving the treatment they need. This interview was recorded during an online conference call with The Video Journal of Neurology (VJNeurology).
