AAN 2022 | Dedicated clinical training in autoimmune neurology

The field of autoimmune neurology is rapidly expanding with novel discoveries about the pathophysiological mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of autoimmune disorders of the nervous system. Divyanshu Dubey, MBBS, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, highlights the importance of dedicated clinical training in autoimmune neurology. A more detailed and comprehensive understanding of the disease mechanisms and the increased number of available immunotherapies make it a very complex field. Therefore, dedicated clinical and translational training is crucial to better understand how antibodies are validated and tested and their limitations. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
